According to the Ministry of Tourism in 1999, there were 76,029 tourists coming to visit Angkor. In the period of four years(1995-1999)the numbers of tourist are increasing more than 14,342 people.

As the country becoming much more stable in terms of politics the country's image is boosted. Now, we can see there have been some tourists coming to Siem Reap by bus or pick up. They say it is fantastic because they see what they had never seen before in their lives such as the beautiful view scenery of the country.
